Description:

Bring the stiffness back to your firewall and make it stronger than new with the Only944 firewall brace! The problem is that the firewall was designed too thin, allowing it to flex every time the clutch is used. Over time this constant flexing can cause cracks that lead to firewall breakage, and rust can speed up this problem.

This plate can support the firewall to prevent future breakage or repair a firewall that has already cracked or rusted. The firewall brace is made from very strong and rust resistant stainless steel to reinforce weak or failing firewalls. It’s designed to be bolted to the firewall or welded on, depending on how rusted the firewall already is. Bolting the plate requires drilling 7 holes in the firewall for the bolts (hardware included). Then, bolt it on and you are done. Please note: since the brake and clutch master cylinders need to be removed, bleeding of the system is required. Since this firewall brace is shaped different than other companies produced, removal of the AC lines is NOT needed. Please let us know if you have any questions.

*Please note that there is no need for a new clutch master cylinder gasket. The supplied aluminum shim will act as a gasket.

For those of you out there that just need the shim please click HERE. If you previously install a different brand of firewall brace, you might want to take a close look inside the car at the clutch master cylinder push rod, to make sure it’s not binding again the master cylinder. If it is, then our shim if fix the situation.
