Cabin Air Filter 85.5-91 Instructions
Tools you will need:
2 Hands
Procedure:
1. Open hood and remove the hood/firewall seal. Simply pull it straight up and completely off the car. Then gently lift up the front of the black plastic cover over the blower fan. If you don’t have a hood/firewall seal we highly suggest getting one. It will help keep fumes away from your AC air intake and help quite the interior some. Here is a link to the hood seal.
2. Remove the wire cage from the blower fan. Pull the top off first and then push it down slightly and remove the cage.
3. Now you can install the new cabin air filter. Make sure the filter is oriented correctly, with the single hole side at the top and the 2 hole side at the bottom. Slide the filter on and press on the front side making sure it’s complete on. You might need to loosen the valve on the side to get the filter all the way on. Then make sure the bottom 2 holes are over the plastic pins on the bottom, and the top single hole is over the top plastic pin. Then make sure the filter is pressed on all the way around.
4. Install the second filter on the other side of the car in the same way.
5. Reinstall the plastic cover over the blower fan and press on the hood/firewall seal and you are done.
