Procedure:

1. Remove the base of the shifter cover by pulling up from the top of the base ring.

2. Once the frame is off the car simply pull it up over the shift knob to reveal the inner shift boot.

3. Pull the base of the inner boot off the car and pull it up over the shift knob to reveal the bottom of the shift knob. Take the retaining clip off the bottom of the shift knob and set aside.

4. Pull the shift knob up and off the shifter. Install the inner boot onto the bottom of the shift knob using the 2 tabs on the top of the inner boot .

5. Fold the inner boot up over the shift knob and reinstall the shift knob back onto the shifter. When the shift knob is completely down on the shifter, reinstall the retaining clip.

6. Fold the inner boot down and secure it onto the metal oval base.

7. Reinstall the base of the shifter cover and you are finished.
