License Plate Bracket Instructions
Tools you will need:
Phillips screw driver
8mm Wrench
10mm Wrench
10mm Socket
Procedure:
1. Remove your license place by unscrewing it from the frame.
2. Remove the old license plate bracket from your car. Phillips screw driver and 8mm wrench (Generally).
3. Install new license plate bracket with rubber dampers between the bracket and the body of the car. Use the gold color bolts and nuts.
The bracket is not equally spaced and can be installed in either direction. Installing the bracket with the longer arms facing up will move the license plate higher up on the car, making it more centered, but there is very little clearance between the body and the license plate. If you install it this way, double check to make sure the license plate or frame are not rubbing on the body of the car. Flipping the bracket over with the short arms up will give you more clearance for the license plate and frame.
4. Install your License plate onto the frame. If you are installing the license plate without a frame, then using the short black screws is best. If you have a license plate frame then you will probably need the longer black screws. When installing the screws, the plastic nuts can spin. To fix this, push on the screw driver a little harder and the nut should stop spinning.
